Effective Date: **08/09/2026** Last Updated: **08/09/2026**
TutorsLog respects the privacy of its users and is committed to handling personal information responsibly and transparently.
This Privacy Policy explains what information TutorsLog collects, why it is collected, how it is used, when it may be disclosed and the choices available to users.
**1. Information We May Collect**
Depending on the features you use, TutorsLog may collect information such as:
Account information: name, email address, password credentials, age/date of birth or age category and profile photograph.
Examination information: examinations attempted, answers submitted, marks, percentages, rankings, attempt counts, examination duration and performance statistics.
Technical information: IP address, browser type, device information, login/session information, security logs and similar technical information necessary for operation and security.
Communication information: emails, support requests, corrections, suggestions and feedback submitted to TutorsLog.
If subscriptions or paid services are introduced in the future, TutorsLog may process relevant subscription and transaction information. Payment-card information should normally be processed by the relevant payment provider rather than being stored directly by TutorsLog.
**2. Password Security**
User passwords should be protected using appropriate security measures and must not be stored as readable plain-text passwords.
TutorsLog uses or intends to use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information being protected.
The final Privacy Policy published on the website should accurately reflect the security measures actually implemented.
**3. Why We Use Personal Information**
Personal information may be used to:
create and manage accounts; authenticate users; provide examinations; save examination progress; calculate results and rankings; enforce examination attempt limits; maintain examination history; provide customer support; identify and correct technical problems; prevent misuse and fraud; protect Platform security; communicate important service information; and comply with applicable legal obligations.
**4. Email Addresses**
TutorsLog does not sell or rent users' email addresses to third parties.
Email addresses are primarily used for Platform-related purposes such as registration, authentication, password recovery, account notifications, examination-related messages, security notifications and support communications.
TutorsLog does not provide users' email addresses to unrelated businesses for their independent advertising activities without appropriate consent.
**5. Service Providers**
It would be inaccurate for most websites to state that information is "never shared with anyone."
TutorsLog may need to provide limited information to service providers that help operate the Platform, such as hosting providers, cloud infrastructure providers, email providers, security providers, analytics providers or payment processors if paid services are introduced.
Such providers should receive only information reasonably required to perform their services and should be subject to appropriate contractual or legal obligations.
Information may also be disclosed where required by law, court order, legal process or an authorised government authority.
**6. We Do Not Sell Personal Data**
TutorsLog does not sell or rent users' personal information for third-party commercial marketing.
If this business practice changes in the future, the Privacy Policy and appropriate consent mechanisms must be updated before implementing the change.
**7. Examination Data**
TutorsLog may retain examination information including answers, scores, percentages, attempts and performance history so users can review their progress and TutorsLog can provide educational analytics and maintain the integrity of examination attempt limits.
Aggregated or de-identified information may also be used to understand question difficulty, examination performance and Platform quality.
**8. Public Display of Results**
TutorsLog may offer optional rankings, achievement sections or leaderboards.
Information such as a user's name, photograph, score or percentage should not automatically be made public merely because the user registered for TutorsLog.
Where TutorsLog wishes to make identifiable examination results public, appropriate consent will be obtained.
A user who declines optional publicity consent may continue using ordinary examination services unless public participation is inherently necessary for a clearly identified competition.
For children, additional parental or guardian safeguards apply.
**9. AI and Educational Data**
TutorsLog may use artificial-intelligence technology to assist in preparing or reviewing educational content.
Personal information belonging to users should not be submitted to third-party AI systems unnecessarily.
Where third-party AI providers process personal information on behalf of TutorsLog, such processing should be disclosed and appropriately governed.
**10. Cookies and Similar Technologies**
TutorsLog may use cookies, local storage or similar technologies necessary for functions such as:
authentication; session management; examination continuity; security; preferences; and performance monitoring.
If non-essential analytics or advertising technologies are introduced, TutorsLog should provide any notices or consent mechanisms required by applicable law.
**11. Data Retention**
TutorsLog will retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including providing the account and examination history, resolving disputes, protecting Platform security and complying with applicable legal obligations.
Information that is no longer required should be deleted or anonymised in accordance with TutorsLog's retention practices and applicable law.
**12. Data Security**
TutorsLog takes reasonable steps intended to protect personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, misuse or destruction.
No internet-based system can guarantee absolute security.
Users should protect their passwords and immediately report suspected unauthorised access.
**13. User Rights**
Subject to applicable law, users may request assistance concerning their personal information, including requests to:
access information about their account; correct inaccurate information; update information; request account closure or deletion where applicable; withdraw consent where processing relies on consent; and submit privacy complaints or grievances.
The DPDP framework provides for rights concerning access, correction, erasure and grievance redressal as its relevant provisions become applicable.
Requests may be sent to:

**14. Children's Personal Information**
Users below 18 years are subject to the TutorsLog Child & Minor Safety and Privacy Policy.
Where required by applicable law, TutorsLog will obtain verifiable consent from a parent or lawful guardian before processing a child's personal data.
TutorsLog will not knowingly use children's data for targeted advertising or prohibited behavioural monitoring.
India's DPDP Act specifically addresses parental consent, detrimental processing, behavioural monitoring and targeted advertising involving children.

TutorsLog may link to external educational or official examination websites.
Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
